A number of decisions by Macklowe and Vinoly make this one of the most expensive buildings to build in the world. For instance, it is an extremely tall topping out at close to 1,400 feet. Second, ceiling heights are 15.6 feet slab-to-slab, which is unheard of in residential construction, also substantially pushing up the cost of each residence.
